WinTV-PVR 250/350 (Model 30xxx, 32xxx, 48xxx) > Third party software (PVR 250/350)
Doug's program scheduler is back and better than ever (but still free)
dcline1701:
WinTV Recording Manager is a significant rewrite of my original program, WinTV Program Scheduler.
Improvements include the following:
* Supports using GBRecord for recordings
* Allows passing additional command line arguments to WinTVCap or GBRecord on a show by show basis (for using special prefilter, audio or other settings).
* Imports recordings from Hauppauge's scheduler (including Titan TV and other compatible sites).
* Integrated Graphical Interface for managing and watching shows. The interface has a special mode appropriate for use on a TV.
* The websites menu has been upgraded so that now you can open web sites and other programs.
And still includes all the favorites:
* No silly limit on the number of shows you can record.
* Allows you to set the recording quality for each show separately.
* Start all recordings several seconds before the "official" start time and end a couple seconds after. Useful for networks whose shows tend to start 20 to 30 seconds early.
* Can limit the number of shows in the capture folder by moving the oldest ones to the recycle bin
* Can automatically create free space for new recordings or other things by emptying the recycle bin and/or deleting old shows.
* Can store specified shows in their own folder. These shows must be deleted manually so they are never "accidentally" deleted by the program.
* Can automatically close programs that interfere with recording.
* Can restart the computer before a recording if it has been running a long time.

This program is freeware.
P.S. Is anyone interested in translating the text of the program into other languages?

I've posted a new version. Current users can just download the update and install it.
This fixes many bugs large and small. Everyone should get it.

Thanks for your great work!

I've just uploaded version 1.2. Changes include:
Added ability to back up and restoring WinTV2000 settings. Very useful for reinstalls.
The "Recordings" menu now has an "Edit" item that allows editing shows that only have 1 time slot without bringing up the Manage window.
Manage window list is now refreshed when a recording is edited.
Increased the time that scheduler waits for a recording to start from 30 seconds to 1 minute.
Fixed TreeView control so that clicking quickly on plus signs isn't mistaken as a double click
Corrected problem with the forms position not being restored correctly.
Now closes recording programs using their process handle. Should play nicer if used with other scheduling programs on a Multi-tuner PC.
Now updates free space display about once a minute.

Some people have reported problems importing from TitanTV. Here are instructions for fixing the problem. Bring up the start menu, select "Run...", then type (or copy and paste):
regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\WinTV Recording Manager\tskschd.dll"
This assumes that you installed the program with the default path, that your program files folder is on drive C and that you have an English install of Windows. If not, change the command above as needed.
You should get a message that says "DllRegisterServer in tskschd.dll succeeded." if this works.
