SVCD editing using Womble MPEG-2 Editor

I just brought the Womble MPEG-2 editor as I heard the comment from this forum is very good.
I would like to use it to trim the commercial of a MPEG-2 file which already capture using PVR-250 in SVCD format, so no re-encoding is needed I presume.
I firstly input the file and trim the commercial using Mark-in and Mark-out, then I push the record button. I try both PS, TS, SYS etc but still cannot make a MPEG-2 file which can input to Nero SVCD immediately (reencoding is need in Nero in all format that I try), so that I can burn it right away. What setting shall I use?
Moreover, I take very long time to run record, for a 30sec. SVCD MPEG file, it take me more than 2 mins to run it. But I saw someone in this forum said it take only 7 mins for a 2G file, do I do something wrong?

Mark-in and Mark-out the Cut button with the parts you don't want before you get ready to Record it make dbl sure that blue bar is alway across the video, here how I do it scroll the slide time bar all way to the end click on the Play button in tell it stops then click on Mark-out button then click Step Forward button then click on Mark-in button and then Record button and make sure you check the box that saying MPEG-2 Program Stearm SVCD.
Depend on the files size it can very from a few sec to long as 10min
Was the clip rec at 480x480(NTSC) or 576(PAL) frames size if not then it will re-render the entire movie.
If not sure what you record it at click Rec then on Video button it give you the width and height the cancel.

I have not tried making SVCDs, only DVDs.  It sounds like mpeg2vcr might be re-encoding if it takes that long for a 30 second clip.  Whether or not it re-encodes depends on the settings.  I don't change any settings after I click record, I just enter an output file name and click OK.  It has never re-encoded when I do this.

Which MPEG format should I choose if I don't want any encoding?
Should I choose List, VBS, SYS, PS or TS?

Only check MPEG-2 Program Stearm SVCD and save file output don't make and change under video nor audio button.
