Hehe , SHS I Like The Big Red Circle , It Makes Things More Clear :) . I Went Over The Same Charts The Other Night , An I Noticed Then Same Thing AC3 Decoding Only . Witch Is A Big Difference From The Codec Itself Doing AC3 Encoding . If You Want True Ac3 Then Youll HAve To Use An External Encoder ( Witch is a Pain ) .
Detritus:
Thanks for the clarification SHS.
pdriley:
The confusion arises here as there is no such animal as Dolby Digital AC-3 "2-channel". Dolby digital is 5+0.1 channels only. Playback devices that support Dolby Digital also support a mixdown of the 5.1 channel source into a "Dolby Surround" 2-channel simulation. This combines the L-R-C and mixed L-R rear channel signals into two composite L & R signals, playable on normal stereo equipment or Dolby Surround "Pro-Logic" decoders.

If you are looking for enhancement requests, here are a couple.
Allow choosing the recording profile you want to use in the scheduler (PowerVCR has this feature). You may want to use different bit rates depending on what you are recording. For example you might want to use a low bit rate for cartoons, but a high bit rate for sports. As it is you are limited to whatever WinTV 2000 was set to the last time it was run.
Also, how about an option to turn WinTV 2000 off once the scheduled recording is done. Why leave it running for hours, wearing out the hard disk, if no one is watching.
