Another suggestion for scheduled recording. How about an option to record in the background without opening a WinTV window. I don't usually want to watch or hear a show while it's recording. This might also make the recording process more reliable since it wouldn't have to decode the MPEG stream for screen display while it's recording to disk.
Detritus:
I completely agree with jschefdog. Background recording would be awesome.
Even better would be if I could then also watch the recording in progress from any point in the recording, jumping back and forth as I please. Only as an option of course.
SHS:
I talk them about that suggestion for scheduled recording I do agree that would be nice.

For the record, DD doesn't have to be 5.1. It CAN be 2.1, 2.0 or in the case of some really crappy movies, 1.0.
I really don't care what you may have seen written in various software, but I own DVDs which are DD 1.0, and Dolby Labs even has a special logo for DD Mono.

Hi,
Two features I'd like to see supported is manual video sharpness and temporal filter controls. Apparently the spatial and temporal filters can clean up noisy video nicely if you can control them manually. So far, Hauppauge hasn't implemented these features.
Also about the AC-3, I found out that there is only one iTVC15 chip and it has NO Dolby digital support what so ever. SHS's your original argument was correct, as for the 2 chips thing you posted later on, I don't know where you got that from, but as far as I know there is only one chip.
Both of these pieces of info came directly from one of the iTVC15 engineers.
