WinTV-HD PVR, HD-PVR 2 (Model 1212, 1445, 1480, 1504, 1512) > Drivers and Hauppauge software (HD PVR)
Flicker (including videos)
zukuu:
I bought the hauppauge hd pvr a good 2 years back and it had a horrendous flickering and corruption//tearing problem. tried everything to no avail, eventually returned it.
So with the release of the hauppauge hd pvr gaming edition, a new pc and 2 years of driver development I wanted to give it another shot: FLICKERING. the tearing is gone, the tv picture is fine as well, but the preview and recording (which is also out of sync with the audio for some reason) have this flickering issue.
I'm so disappointed. Literally tried everything: changed the component cables, changed the usb cables, used older drivers (1.5, 1.6), newest beta drivers (1.7), different versions of Showbiz, WinTV, tried another pc, plugged the hauppauge into its own power point, tried different usb ports, updated bios, changed all device settings (ntsc/pal etc), changed resolution of the ps3 to 720p, 1080i etc and varous more. nothing worked...
This is what it looks like:

Win 7x64
I5-2500k Quad Core
8 GB Ram
Nvidia Geforce GTX 560 TI
All drivers / windows are up-to-date
PS3 60GB Fat. i've got a Xbox too, but don't have it available for some time, so can't test it with that.

Tested it with AV-input as well. no flickering (but not an acceptable solution at all)

I've read about that problem, that's why I tried to plug it into it's own power supply. Also wouldn't that also mean flickering with AV input?
SHS:
I sent email off to the tech to see what they had to say becuases I never saw anything like that one before
SHS:
They suggest trying it on another pc I have seen bad grounding on the pc side lead to interference.
