WinTV 7 version 2.4
hammer:
anyone know what the differences between 2.4g and 2.4c are? and can you remote schedule using winTV7 the way I used to using wintv2000 and wintv6? I just don't see anything in the wintv7 software that links to your titantv account so it can download scheduled programs the way wintv6 does with the "remote scheduler"
SHS:
2.4g may be old ver of WinTV 6 or possable older WinTV 2000 or just Drivers Only CD.
If you mean WinTV 7 with WinTV2000 and WinTV6 also install no there not compatible.
How ever there was a newer WinTV 7 ver 2.4d but it seem have beem pull not sure why.
On WinTV 7 Support be sure go to user guides
As for the miss link I don't think it was needed how ever I did let them know that it was miss

sorry, looks like I meant 2.3g not 2.4g. so what I wanted to know what is difference from 2.3g to 2.4c? currently have 2.3g on my vista laptop using HVR-1500. I have used titan TV for many years to program my PVR-USB2 on my xp machine and now have swapped it for HVR-1950 to be able to change channel on my mandatory cable box. on that computer, when you go to programs, hauppauge, wintv-there is a "scheduler" and "remote scheduler". if you open remote scheduler, you have to type in your titan tv account info so wintv can communicate with titan tv to download remotely scheduled program info. there isn't anything like that on wintv7, which would seem like huge step backwards? I did review the user manual for wintv 7 and it does not mention remote scheduling. another issue with the vista is that it asks me if I want to open or save the tvpi files when I schedule something. can't figure out how to have it just open that file type with asking each time?
SHS:
Try WinTV7 ver 2.4d now that it out
hammer:
darn, just installed 2.4c! now have to do it again. I still see no way that 2.4c could enable remote scheduling? the way wintv 6 did. will have to give hauppauge a call. once when I asked something about this they said their products never enabled remote scheduling? i have been using remote scheduling for years with wintv2000. I thought maybe the remote part was not official hauppauge software? but pretty sure their official wintv6 software includes remote scheduling.
