I should point out to thoses you who wish re-install the older drivers or even the new drivers this best way to do it.
Just make sure disable pvr app from auto run at start up.
The best to do it is manually uninstall from device manager by installing Hauppauge Colossus Capture frist then the Hauppauge Colossus Encoder and besure tell Windows 7 to del the files then Power Down don't do a restart wait a min then fire it back that way it clear Colossus memory.
This is must for XP/Vista user run hcwclear after doing the above way and yes it will remove any other hauppauge card still install in device manger so you have reinstall them to.

SHS I just want to point out the above download link is broken. It should be http://www.shspvr.com/ftp/download/colossus/colossus_1.0.29168.zip
I should point out too that the above drivers break the Colossus Bridge software, so anyone using it might want to hold off updating to this latest set till they sort it out on their end.

Hi
Hauppauge released three version of Colossus 29168 driver yesterday, a 3.8MB without 64bit driver rar file, a 7.1MB rar file excluding HcwDriverInstall.exe and a 7.3MB rar file including HcwDriverInstall.exe.
7.1MB version worked fine on my machine, but after redownloading and reinstalling 7.3MB version driver, Colossus didn't work anymore, Showbiz also got no response when I tried to capture something.
I think the two version 29168 drivers have some differences.
So do you have this 7.1MB version driver?

did even read my post on sagetv forum ron?.
I've read that and did it before posting, but no improvement.
BTW I only use Showbiz for capturing video game.
With older 29168 version driver, i can adjust brightness, contrast and saturation via Showbiz, It can't be done with 29111.
And capture quality was way better than 29111.
Afterward I deleted the older 29168, downloaded and installed the newer 29168.
With the newer 29168 driver, everytime I run Showbiz, it got no response, I even can't terminate it.
If my memory is correct, it seems that 7.1MB version 29168 driver doesn't contain hcwD1ep64.ax or something.

How odd I see the adjust brightness, contrast and saturation in Showbiz here and drivers I use are pettey the same ones here on shspvr.com as the one on Hauppauge other then HcwDriverInstall.exe which is tad older which shouldn't make any diff which I don't used any way I do it the old school way manual install though device manager.

Well I don't know why but somehow I solved this problem.
I noticed that Showbiz’s default input was set to component(wondering may I change that?) ,so I connect some other thing which outputs component signal before I run Showbiz.
And it works, program finally gets response, then I switch input to HDMI to capture my video game.

Hey SHS,
i just wanted to say THANKS for all your hard work. I've been on these forums back in the day when i had 3 hd-pvrs with beyondtv (but i never registered). Its also nice to see that your trying to to as much as you can with the colossus drivers and sagetv. I literally just switched to sagetv and then google bought them out lol oh well.  I'm happy to report the new driver so far is working great with HDMI capture and my 3 directv boxes (with a nightly reboot at 4am).

Side note: My machine was very unstable at first, it would blue screen all them time.. my fix was to check the sage properties file.... and i found that for some reason sagetv mapped two device names for the same colossus card. Once i deleted one the names, that my sage server has been running flawless.
