EmperoarTV 2.06
« on: January 06, 2011, 03:43:02 AM »
Happy new year, folks !

There is a new release of ETV.

Changes:

    * Added support for Creatix CTX929 DVB-S card
    * Reduced memory consumption for NOVA.SYS
    * Updated transponder list for German DVB-C
    * Currently tuned station is highlighted in EPG window

See:  http://www.s-t.de/emperoar/

The CTX929 is an older DVB-S card that was shipped here in Germany
as part of PCs under the "Medion" brand of the Aldi group. It is similar
to the LifeView/FlyDVB series. Some distributors seem to have those
cards in stock and sell them now at an ridiculously low price.

About the memory thing: For debugging purposes I had increased the
buffer allocated by NOVA.SYS. But forgot to undo this in the previous
release(s)

Hi all !

I just re-release version 2.06. It contains a modified version of the driver NOVA.SYS.
The reason for that is, that sometimes (not always) DVB-C cards using the CU1216
NIM would fail to initialize on cold boot. People using this hardware might want to
install this version of the driver.

Hi Robert,

the problem is that I cannot test ATSC here in Germany. And given
the effort it took to get DVB working, I don't think it as an option to
debug a driver for an ATSC device remotely.
