why won't HVR-2250 show and record closed captions on BeyondTV as PVR-USB2 does?

2250 dosen't embed the CC like like older USB2, 150, 250, 350, 500, HVR1600, HVR18x0 and HVR1950

Why does 2250 show captions on WinTV 7?

That depend on input your using I don't recall it ever work on the analog side but it has been sometime I last tested it with WinTV 7 being all 2250 I have are in my SageTV Server Box.
If it the digital tuner then yes that if the channel on that show has it,  but how ever min 3rdparty app may not always work like in the case of BeyondTV which has not been update in ages and pettey much a dead consumer apps any way.
