Hi folks,

I'd appreciate if users of DVB-T USB - devices (AF9015 based or CInergy T²)
could do a test run with this new driver.

Especially AF9015.SYS is supposed to switch channels quite a bit faster. The
same applies to T2.SYS, however since this device was already doing this pretty
quick, the advantage here is marginal.

But what's most important is to test, if the channel search still finds all channels
that were found with the old driver. In theory these drivers try a bit harder, so
that in bad reception scenarios they might even find some more channels than
the old ones did...

Please report results here.

I have a AV Labs DVB-T stick with an AF9015 which now works with 2.05a and the test driver for AF9015.

I don't have very good reception at my house, however I was able to get it to tune into some digital TV channels with sound.

I had to select the German rather than Australian channel profiles.

I will need to test this some more including recording.

Thanks very much I thought this stick would never work with Emperoar.

In settings this is what hardware type is shown.

Unknown device, Serial: 9771904
Driver version: 1.00.016
Encoder firmware: 5.01.000
Vendor/Device ID: 0x1b80:0xe395

That's interesting. It's one out of a bunch of products for which I included the ID
into the driver because it is mentioned on the internet that they are compatible.
I have never tested this device, which is called "KWorld Plus DVB-T 395" in Linux.

AFAIK, you are the first person to use ETV in DVB-T mode in Australia. All the
others own analog Hauppauge PVR cards. Your country seems to have adopted
pretty much the same TV standards that we use here in Germany. So I'm not too
surprised. However, I will check these channel lists again...

I have done more testing of the AV Labs AVL680HD DVB-T usb 2.0 stick.  My problem was a weak signal in my house.  I attached a stronger aerial and was able to scan for digital TV channels.  Everything works fine including recording to the hard disk, the program guide etc.  This is a nice and cheap card only cost $69 australian dollars.

High definition channels do not seem to work - ie get no picture or sound however standard definition channels work fine.

The Australian channel definitions work fine - you are right they are the same as in Germany.  No need to fix them.

The overall software and functionality of Emperoar is excellent and is miles better than the windows xp software that comes with the usb stick.

thanks again
