Proper install method for HVR-1600

I just bought a HVR-1600 so I could have a QAM card to use with Comcast.

I currently have a PVR-150 in my XP computer and want to remove it and put the HVR-1600 in it's place.

Is it necessary to completely uninstall all the drivers and software that I have installed for the PVR-150 or can I just pull out one card and install the other?  I don't want to mess anything up.  I'm sure the complete uninstall will work, just wondering if it is really necessary.

Just uninstall it from the device manager shut down install the new card

So I don't have to run the software the clears out all old versions of drives, sw, etc?
