I'm working on an application to capture screen shots of live TV. I have an HVR-1600 MCE and I'm using WinTV V6 on WinXP Pro SP2. WinTV V6 has a screen capture function built in, but I want to be able to poll that function using a script. Is there and API or SDK available to give me access to this functionality? If not, are there any freeware/open source solutions available for this card? Preferable written in Python.
