Thanks so much for your OS X solution.  I was trying to offload SD content from a SA box via vcr copy and, unlike TME which always locks up my pc, serves my needs so far, i.e. S-Video.  However, it can't seem to detect the component signal.  I have the component+rca cables going from the SA 8300HD to HD-PVR and hdmi going to the lcd hdtv.  IIRC TME showed that signal in preview.  Do you have any ideas for me on how to make HD connect?  The $30 is worth it even if I never get HD because it does what I need done now, but it seems I should also eventually get HD.

Also, can you write the same functionality for Windows?  I'd buy that too.
