Hi,

I would prefer to write in german, but I'll try my best Smile

I am not able to get Emperoar TV to recognize my Cinergy T2 USB card at the LENOVO SL300 Laptop. I did run already on two other Laptops I have got (Medion Akoya Mini, Packard Bell Easy note E)

For more Information I attached a screenshot where you can see:

- I use the Emperoar TV included USBEHCI Driver (look at USBCFG)
- the Cinergy T2 USB is recognized by the system itself (see USBRESMG - third in the list ID:0x0038)
- the program still complains that there is no such USB adapter

I already tried a lot:

- older release of Emperoar TV
- different USB port (this Laptop has got 3)

Where do I have to take a look at next?

Thanks in Advance!

Sigurd

 Laughing

Thats really funny - it was as easy as this:

Once I posted the screenshot I realized that there are 2 USBEHCI Ports in this Laptop and I installed only one  ...  Embarassed

So, just added the second line to config.sys and here we go  Surprised

Even though, I hope that this might be helpfull for some other dummies like me, with the same problem.

Cheers

Hi Sigurd,

even though the Cinergy T2 doesn't work on 1.1 ports, it still gets detected by
the USB subsystem (with a different configuration). I.e. the "Device Report" in
USBRESMGR will look different in this case. The ETV driver will simply ignore
the device, if it is connected to a 1.1 port.

BTW, the master device of an AF9015 can theoretically be used on an 1.1 port.
This is because it contains a hardware PID filter, which will limit the amount of
data that is transferred to what's absolutely necessary for watching a single
program. However, the data rate is still close to the physical limits of USB 1.1
and the host adapter drivers in OS/2 cannot handle this reliably. So I had to
disable this feature Sad.
