BIOS hang with second PVR-500

(1/1)

marker:
I have a system with the following configuration:

    Intel Q6600 Processor
    Intel DX48BT2 Motherboard
    PVR-500
    Nvidia PCI Graphics Card

The system has been running reliably.  I wanted extra tuners so I replaced the graphics card with a PCI-Express Nvidia card (the motherboard has only two PCI slots) and added a second PVR-500.  After this, the system hangs while booting the BIOS.  If I remove either of the two PVR-500 cards, the system boots normally.  I saw a couple messages about device conflicts, but they didn't go into very much detail.  I looked through all the BIOS menus and didn't see anything obvious.  Thanks.

SHS:
how much memory do you have and in system and on video card what OS 32 or 64bit?.

marker:
The system has 8GB of Patriot DDR3-1333.  I'm running Fedora 8 32bit on the system, but it doesn't even boot the BIOS (I don't get a splash screen and am unable to enter the BIOS) before hanging.  The card is an EVGA e-GeForce 7200 GS with 512MB DDR2 memory and a 16x PCI-Express interface.

After rereading my original message I realized that one of my comments may have been confusing.  When I mentioned seeing a couple messages about device conflicts I meant messages in this board.  When I have two PVR-500 cards in my system I don't see anything on the console.  Thanks for your help.

SHS:
It maybe a bios problem
