PVR 150 and 4GB RAM problem

Hey guys. I am sure this question has been asked for 1000 times, and i've seen the note on hauppage website. But i am going to try it one more time. Is there some official or unofficial solution for the incompatibility between PVR 150 and computers with over 4GB for RAM? I am totally frustrated with it. The only solution i've found is to limit my OS to using 4088MB of memory and restart the PC every time i wanna watch TV.

Solution none that is part Hardware and 32bit OS problem which can not be fix
Best Option keep you memory at or under 3GB
The 2nd option is 64 bit OS and rigth Hardware is need for that to work mainly your CPU most support a 64bit OS
Oh and change to a diff brand TV card will not help you

I have had this problem since i built my new computer with vista x64 and still had the problem after updating to windows 7 x64.  My relavent computer specs are windows 7 x64 with 8gb ram and pvr150mce.  My previous temp fix was to limit the ram via boot options but that was totaly unacceptable as i have 8gb.  Recently I tried the  Amity2 2.0.48.25037.PreRelease driver which was supossed to fix this issue but still had no luck.  However i went over to http://www.hauppauge.co.uk which has Driver Version 2.0.48.25037 (PVR-150-500_2_0_48_25037_WHQL.zip)  same version number but not prerelease.  I downloaded CD Version it says 1.1f buts it downloads as 1.2.  I installed both the driver and wintv 7 not sure if i needed to install wintv as i use MCE but since installing the cd driver from hauppauge.co.uk my pvr150 now works flawlessly with 8gb.    :)

I suspect it work with any x64 not just windows 7.  Also it didn't mention the issue with 4gb+ ram on hauppauge.co.uk like it does on hauppauge.com

I don't think there be much support for older 150, 250, 500 and USB2 and Win7 and that problem far I know of the last patch was for Vista 64x how ever I ask them about it.

Hi Darksoldier; thanks for posting - great news that you got your system running with 8GBs of ram - that's exactly what I'm trying to do!

I downloaded the cd from the UK site and installed the drivers and wintv as per your post but I am still hitting the 4gb ram issue - I was wondering if you could tell me what version/date the drivers your system is using?

BTW I'm running on Server 2008 R2 (64 bit)
