PVR-150 MCE and IR Blaster
« on: March 28, 2009, 08:03:30 PM »
Hi, I was looking on ebay and saw that the PVR-150 comes with a FM tuner, what its good. I was just wondering: The PVR-150 comes with a hole where you plug the IR Receiver, but what about the PVR-150 MCE? Where am I going to plug the IR blaster cable?

One other thing: If buy a generic IR Blaster from ebay (only the blaster) and plug it into the PVR-150, will I be able to use another remote (not the hauppauge one) to make the blaster work?

For Media Center you need MCE deivce sorry it dosen't work well outside of MCE.
For MediaPortal the USB-UIRT is best option becuases it support by all 3rdparty PVR apps like SageTV, GB-PVR, BeyondTV and that one you want just name a few other or you can use on board IR Blaster if your PVR-150 comes with it just beware that you can't setup dual tuner with on board IR Blaster so your best option is the USB-UIRT.

You mean that if I add another PVR-150 this setup will compromise the IR Blasting featured, but with only one card everything will work right?
