Wintv 7 - App stopped working

Have a 1600 in my desktop and an expresscard in my laptop.  V6 runs fine.  V7 has same problem on both - installs fine but when I try to run I get program stopped working msg.  I am on Vista Home Premium SP2 (32bit) on both.

Any ideas?  Hauppauge tech support was clueless.  In fact they first said I needed to install .net 2.0 sp1 even though I had .net 3.5.  That is incorrect as .net 2.0 runs only on XP.

Even this not incorrect Net 1.1, 2.0 are for Win2000 and XP and Vista, where Net 3.5 is for XP and Vista

i dl'd net 2.0 and tried to install and received a msg that it would not install on vista it was only for xp.

so this still begs the question, why can't I install and run v7.

You rigth "Vista comes with .Net3.0, which is .Net2.0 plus WPF/WCF/WF/CardSpace.
You do not need to install .Net2.0 on Vista box. All ..NET application built for .NET2.0 should also run on Vista.
