I recently bought and installed myTV.PVR device & software for my iMAC G5. After installing the software and the hardware device I noticed that Skype for Mac shuts down immediately after powering up the hardware device. Opening up Skype with the device powered on causes the error message "The application Skype quit unexpectedly..." to appear. In order to get Skype back up and running I have to reboot the iMAC and unplug the myTV.PVR device. If I then power up the device again Skype immediately shuts down regardless that the "myTV/x" software is not running.
I downloaded & installed the latest software from Hauppauge and Skype without any change.
I've sent emails to both Hauppauge & Skype customer support addresses. Hauppauge responded that they haven't heard of any compatibility problems with Skype and did not offer any solution. Skype has not responded.
Does anyone know what the problem might be or what I should do to correct it?
