You can clear everthing and install as clean if want.
Be sure save your channel and radio preset info
Before uninstalling you don’t want have redo all preset channel alll over again do you?.
Just save the registry keys :
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Hauppauge\Channels] for the Tv channels/presets (WinTV2000)
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Hauppauge\Radio] for the Radio presets (WinTV Radio)
Or go Amontillado web site under Tips & Tricks and get the batch file.

In CD Kit you find some useful Misc Utility
How do good uninstall with older drv and app.
In this kit I add a new file called hcw_unregister.bat.
1: Run hcw_unregister.bat.
2: Uninstall everything from Add/Remove Progams with the words Hauppauge and InterVideo FilterSDK.
3: Run hcwclear.exe.
4: Reboot.
5: DO NOT cancel hardware wizard un-check all Option Search location so that it dosen't fine anything, re-run hcwclear.exe one more time dbl check everything over.
6: Check the Device Mangaer for (?) if you see one rigth click uninstall it.
7: Run hcwclear.exe.
8: Check the registry by searching for key words hcw, wintv, globespan and hauppauge "Note: DON NOT REMOVE the registry key hcw4.0" also beware if using 3rdparty software like SageTV, BeyondTV you may fine some registry don't remove them if not sure just post a reply with registry folder name.
9: Reboot now ready to install new drv and app.
Plases be report any problem with install here becuases of some changes made in files the file for the 250/350 and 150/500 have be in there own folder.
