Programming MPEG2 parameters with PVR150

Hi,

We use Hauppauge PVR Hardware to capture video from our medical technology application. The video capture part of our application constructs DirectShow filter graphs for video recording.

Unfortunately we are not able to control MPEG encoder parameters (bitrate for video, audio, ...) using standard DirectShow mechanisms. For the Hauppauge WinTV PVR 250/350/USB2 hardware encoders we can use the "IAMVacCtrlProp" DirectShow-Interface as used with the open-source application "WinTVCap".

For the Hauppauge WinTV PVR-150 card this mechanism does not work.
So the question is: How can we do the job with the PVR150 hardware? Any hints?

Thanks in advance,
Erwin

Give Sub over at GRPVR.com a buzz he maybe able to help

That's what I tried first -> no response

SHS:
You do know that Graph on 150/500 and a newer USB2 is bit diff then older board.
Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II Capture > 656 |Pin to| 656< Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II Multiplexer or Encoder

egab42:
Yes, we know about the difference in the filter graph (additional "Encoder" filter, 656 pin, ...); we also succeeded with recording from the PVR 150 card; what's missing in our application is the ability to switch between MPEG profiles (e.g. MPEG1, MPEG2 with 2, 4, or 6 MBit rate)
