Conclusion:

The montor 2D image output quality is very impressive even
far better then the old Hollywood Plus which degrade 2D monitor
output above 1024x768 and add bonus they included realy beefy
passthur cable.

DVD video playback on the monitor is also very impressive even
better then S/Video or Composite output which is a real supize
to me the old Hollywood Plus dosen't even come close to the new
Xcard but it dose have a down side to it there no overlay support
only Full Screen support dose the old Voodoo1,2 ring any bells here.
Now DivX can be a pain becuase there some missing features like
QPEL, GMC, B-Frame which Xcard dosen't support all at this time but
the basic DivX video shouldn't be a problem, oh and Sigma did
included and AVI checker so you can check for compatible and
Sigma also included FiltersControl in new 1.3 drv kit about time,
VCD/SVCD need some work the backgound picture don't scale to fit
the full screen, but the image output quality is very good.

DVD audio was very good but I like have DD5.1 but Sigma Designs
hasn't enable the one features we all need for the SBAudigy to work
with, being it come with AC3 SW Decoder Device Driver which give us
DD5.1 sound when S/PDIF is enablen like in WinDVD or PowerDVD all it
dose it send the signel over the PCI bus so only other option is a
Optical Digital I/O Card II and new UDA (Unified Driver Architecture)
from Creative Labs which they haven't release but you can get the
drivers off compaq ftp they added "AC-3 S/PDIF-IN Decode" to the
Digital Input section of Device Controls in AudioHQ.
This was a real supize to me you can use the internet S/PDIF-OUT off
the Xcard going in to the CD-S/PDIF in to any Sound card that has this
but you will must like lee not get DD5.1 I all ready try on the
SBAudigy just for the heck of it and all I got was POP and nothing
after that and I also find out from CL that AC3 decoder can't use
CD-S/PDIF in note this also apply to the SBLive and SBAudigy 2 well
dran also keep mind the when buying new SBAudigy 2 get the one with
Bay Drive.
MPEG4 so far I haven't found any real MPEG4 clip other then DivX.
MP3 audio play just fine.

Oh and Sigma final got around releasing the VIP drv Download this
Rmvpe32.dll drop in 9x, windows\system or 2K, winnt\system32 or
XP, windows\system32 folder and reboot.
It should work with fine most older nVidia, ATI card that have 26 pin VIP header Port I tested ATI 3D RagePro 4MB AGP and nVidia RIVA 4MB AGP. Note: ATI board, using the 16 bit color depth mode does not get a display so set it 24 or 32 bit color depth mode. I wish Sigma Designs would just do WDM (Windows Driver Model) driver since all they included was MCI drivers which are bit outdated and with WDM drivers are new standrad for new OS like Win2000/XP how ever they did included a directshow driver which is good news for thoses of us that own a WinTV-PVR or any other MPEG2 capture card it will read pass 4GB with no problem what so ever unlike the Hollywood Plus. No hardware problem nor install problem to report.
