Bugs:
So far I haven't had any problem capturing or setting up scheduled recordings or even just watching TV. It is a very solid application
with 1.1.4.
Wish List:
- Xcard OSD support.
- 350 OSD support (Coming Soon SageTV2).
- 350 Radio FM recording support (Would be nice to have).
- Skin support (Coming Soon SageTV2).
Conclusion:
Over all SageTV, is an outstanding application and it is very solid. What's really cool is that it works with the new & old Hauppauge
PVR remote control. What I really like is that I can record different MPEG qualities for
each scheduled recording. I just love the fact that I'm able to scroll through 2 weeks of TV
guide listings once the database is downloaded. I like the search capabilities too and the favorites manager. One thing I like about it is I can change channels on my Satellite box which makes it much easier to schedule recording different shows on different channels thank to the Actisys IR-200L. Best of all I can make use of my REALmagic Xcard for REALtime Hardware decoding which brings down my system resource usage a lot. Best of all you can use any soft mpeg decoder and can make use of some video cards that support some mpeg hardware acceleration like DX9 VMR, iDCT, MC, etc, etc. Oh, and did I tell you it has DScaler Deinterlacer support and along
with a lot of other options too.

It even works with the Xcard for REALtime Preview and it has built in
scheduling and it works with the Actisys IR-200L for changing channels.
It too can record different MPEG qualities for each scheduled recording.
Best of all you can use any soft mpeg decoder and can make use of some
video cards that support some mpeg hardware acceleration like DX9 VMR,
iDCT, MC, etc, etc.

My only disappointment is it a Java based application which I'm
not big fan of I perf ture programming language for that OS.
But there is a good side to this Java application. They will be able to
port to any other OS out there such as Linux, Sun, OS/2 Warp, FreeBSD,
QNX, BeOS you name it, at much faster rate then trying build it
from ground up as soon as we have full set of drivers made for that OS.
Then there is the GUI which looks a bit disappointing. I hope they
do some change in the next major version update like 2.0 of SageTV,
SageRecorder needs a bit more of a flashy look.
Final Words:
Overall I'm very impressed with it right now and its overall performance, so I giving it a 9.5/10.
