There is lot more applications that work well over
80+ 3rdparty tools that work with this remote.
The part I really like about this remote you use it as far
away as 30ft or more.

Bugs:

I haven't had any problem with any 3rdparty tools that I use above
as far as using the remote if self.
I would like to say please bear in mind it by no mean 100% PERFECT
with most 3rdparty tools when it come to full screen mode being
sometime some applications DON'T always work rigth when swicth over
to full screen it help if you turn on auto hide for task bar and
there is one downside you must keep the 3rdparty tools your working
with in-focus.
The only thing that really bug me is memory usage 30+MB.

Wish List:

I wish it had IR Blaster support.
You Have to install complete software package to get the remote to
work even know it an X10 base remote (including their front end)
which can be a drag if don't like the front end and want is the
Remote.

Conclusion:

Installation was straight forward and Snapstream did get a little
creative with their installer package even total NewsBiz user
should be able follow through, Not naming any names but Snapstream
installer is a really good example on how it should be done in the
first place.
Snapstream also included a really cool tutorial show you how to use
it.
Over all I love it but I really wish they had made one that had
IR Blaster support that would have cut down on the number of
external device and would have been very handy for some of us that
are using an external tuner like a Cable/Satellite Receiver box's.
Best of all if you have an unsupported applications you can wirte
up your own profile with Applications Identifier & Profile Editor
but need make you own short cut for AppIdentifier.exe &
ProfileEditor.exe which are in the folder
?:\Program Files\SnapStream Media\Firefly\ But it dose take a bit
of leaning how to do it best to study the pre-made profiles.
Beyond Media Basic is very eazy to use and it is very clean design
and a very effective front end for a beginning HTPC user.
I personly don't care for must front end tools but this one I like
mostly due to fact that you can hide it the on the fly and being
backup by using the big FIREFLY logo button on the Remote or launch
any other applications by assign it one of lower Muisc, DVD, Video,
TV or Photos button.
To bad I can't reprogram it to run MediaMVP boy that would be cool.

Final Words:

I'm very impressed with it right now and its overall
performance, so I giving it a 8.5/10.
