Some Download Tips: If download sometime you see the file is same as before like pvr45xxx.exe what I do is rename it to pvr45xxx 1.5.19228.exe that way I know what ver number is each time I download update ver. New installation instructions for Windows98/98SE/ME/2000/XP: Note: If this is the first time you are loading WinTV-PVR under Windows, After booting Windows you will see the "Hardware Wizard", Click on Cancel. 1) Download the WinTV VFW-98 drivers or WinTV VFW-2K drivers and save it to a directory you will remember (for example: C:\) Run ?.exe. This will unpack the driver and start the installation. After the installation, you will be asked to Reboot, Do so to complete the driver installation. 2) Download the WinTV-PVR VFW MPEG Drivers and save it to a directory you will remember (for example: C:\) Run ?.exe. This will unpack the driver and start the installation. After the installation, you will be asked to Reboot, Do so to complete the driver installation. 3)After the driver has been installed, you need to install the latest WinTV32/2000-PVR application with the new video formats. Download the WinTV32/2000-PVR and save it to a directory you will remember (for example: C:\) Run ?.exe. This will install the WinTV32/2000-PVR application. There is no need to reboot after this. 4) After the WinTV32/2000-PVR has been installed, you need to install the latest MPEG Software Decoder Drivers. Download the WinTV-PVR MPEG Software Decoder and save it to a directory you will remember (for example: C:\) Run ?.exe. This will install the WinTV-PVR MPEG Software Decoder. There is no need to reboot after this. 5) All the other add/on application can be down and installed. Update installation instructions for use under Windows98/98SE/ME/2000/XP: This is meant to update (be loaded on top of) WinTV-PVR application or drivers. 1) Download all the new update drivers and application save it to a directory you will remember where they are (for example: C:\). 2) If there are new WinTV VFW-98 drivers or WinTV VFW-2K drivers install them first. start the installation. After the installation, you will not be asked to Reboot, Do so to complete the driver installation. 3) If there are new WinTV-PVR VFW MPEG Drivers install them second or first if there are no new VFW drivers. You can install the new WinTV32/2000-PVR and WinTV-PVR MPEG Software Decoder application at any giving time.
