While Hollywood Plus supports MCI only, this board gives the extra support for DirectShow and proprietary DVD navigation. The use of the Windows Media Player (version 6.x, 7.x, ...) is supported. It includes a new player to replace DVD Station that supports Skin GUIs and extensive file playlists. It offers a 30 bit VGA output giving superb colorful quality compared to the regular 24 bits VGA used in graphic cards. It plays in full-screen mode on VGA monitor and on TV sets.
