Burning in your VCD using Nero 5.5

 

Note: Be sure you install the Nero ImageDrive software if you are using Nero 5.5. it come in real handy for testing before burning.

 

  1. Launch Nero
  2. Close the Wizard
  3. Select File-> New
  4. Select Video-CD
  5. Video CD: You must pick right Encoding resolution.
  6. Menu: Go to VCD Help  to lean more about Creating Simple Menu.
  7. ISO: You don’t need to do any thing here.
  8. Label: Change NEW to what ever you like.
  9. Date: You don’t need to do any thing here.
  10. Misc: You don’t need to do any thing here.
  11. Burn: You don’t need to do any thing here.
  12. Click on New.

 

 

  1. Locate your .mpg and drag it. (See picture below).
  2. Select CD-Recorder-> Choose Recorder-> Burn to your CDR or Click on Image Recorder for doing a test (see below).
  3. Select File->Write CD.
  4. Then nero starts burn it in or will pop open a box where to save the image.

Burning in your SVCD using Nero 5.5

  5. Video CD: You must pick right Encoding resolution.
  6. Menu: Go to VCD Help  to lean more about Creating Simple Menu.
  7. ISO: You don’t need to do any thing here.
  8. Label: Change NEW to what ever you like.
  9. Date: You don’t need to do any thing here.
  10. Misc: You don’t need to do any thing here.
  11. Burn: You don’t need to do any thing here.
  12. Click on New.

  1. Locate your .mpg and drag it. (See picture below).
  2. Nero may or may not give you an error message about the video being invalid MPEG-2 that OK just click on Turn off standard compliance and continue.
  3. Select CD-Recorder-> Choose Recorder-> Burn to your CDR or Click on Image Recorder for doing a test (see below).
  4. Select File->Write CD.
  5. Then nero starts burn it in or will pop open a box where to save the image.

Testing your VCD and SVCD without burning the CD

 

This is for testing your VCD and SVCD before burning it in.

First you must install the Nero ImageDrive software.

  1. Open the Control Panel dbl click on Nero ImageDrive
  2. Click here
  3. Pick the image you went to load.
  4. Launch your DVD Player and review it.
  5. Then if you are happy with it
  6. Open the Control Panel dbl click on Nero ImageDrive then the Eject Button
  7. Launch Nero
  8. Close the Wizard or Cancel
  9. Select File-> Burn Image

 

 

 

Once you have the image load all need to do is tell DVD Player to check the Virtual CD drive.
